[Catching up] Sorry folks.. it's been a while again. Unlike the usual, I've had to motivation to write but not the time. I apologize ahead for being all over the place... it's gonna be a eclectic entry.

[Rudy] A good friend and future apt/house-mate picked up the dvd for my brithday. This is after getting tipped that I liked sports flicks (see entry 9/30). By the way, I picked up like 4 dvd's as gifts that birthday (The Rookie, Remember The Titans, Any Given Sunday, Rudy) ... apparently everyone got the same tip. I should go out and pick up Drumline and Jerry Maguire when I have a dvd player, after I buy a big screen, after I can afford my own place, after I can pay my own way years and year after I'm done with school. But back to the point, my ears picked up on something when I was watching the movie... something to think about for those waiting to hear back from above.

"Praying is something we do in our time. The answers come in God's time."

[The Line] Drumline was a surprisingly feel good movie... good enough to make me miss my integrative bio class (really should'nt be missing it considering the grade I got on my midterm). Watching it brough me back to the days of blue thunder, complete with freshman boot camp, drill downs, and the meat market. Come to think about it. Those were the beginnings of chinatown. Can you see me harnessed to a drum? It's not as easy as it looks.

[Bart Simpson] "I can't promise I'll try, but I'll try to try."

[More Wise Words] Ever struggle with change? Perhaps a change in lifestyle, in habit, or even diet. Though I haven't worked it through myself, you may try on this approach. >> How do you begin such a transformation? You can't manage it on your own. You need God's power and forgiveness. And where do you find that? You ask for it. Spiritual transformation begins as simply and as mysteriously as that. You ask, admitting your need. And God goes to work in your life.

Gonna go burn a couple cd's. Take care everyone. Thank you to those who are tagging the board... you keep me going. And to the stalkers, I'm watching you.

[Busy] Sometimes life doesn't give you breaks and you gotta make time for yourself. I started getting threats on the tagboard so I'm doing my update for the month.... seems like that's all I have time for now. Ellen and Linus are officially the biggest fans of this blog (aside from the stalkers that check this and don't leave comments). You guys can compete for number one honors. I'll announce the winners at the end of this month.

[Back to basics] Video games. Basketball. Cars. Music. Fellas know what I'm talking about... the loves of our lives. I haven't been getting my daily fill of anything lately. It's been months since I've downloaded any music. It's so long that I forgot how to use kazaa. As far as cars go... bah. I can't even keep my own ride clean.

[Optometry] So I'm gonna put some effort into this new pursuit. Trying to find a practice that'll let me do some prescreening for glaucoma, stereopsis, color vision. Who knows.. if I get lucky I'll be taking care of insurance, doing contact lens training, dispensing, making and repairing glasses. Sounds interesting huh? If you know someone who'd take me under his/her wing, get in touch with me ;)

[Chinatown] I wonder how often you guys check this. Join the ring. John Kuo stop playing ball and getting hurt. Jonathan stop partying every weekend. Don stop farting.

[Blah] So I'm not really in a bloggin mood. Just sitting here listening to my whole slow jams folder. I've collected some good stuff over the years. My favorites are still the ones that no one knows about. Anyone miss high school? It's kinda difficult to explain how the things I feel right now. I just know that there's somewhere else I'd rather be.... something else I'd rather be doing. Things just don't feel right. Maybe there's a higher purpose. Living day to day just doesn't feel too fruitful. There must be more to this life than just my daily grind. It's been a while since I've really felt alive... to think of it. I can't remember the last time or if there was ever a time... I miss the Volvo.
