[i'm back] hey'all from the ghettos of berkeley... land of the homeless thugs. format of the day is freewrite. here we go:

tupac is truly one of the prolific lyricists of our time. his "i ain't mad at cha" gets me through rough days, rough nights, rough times. movies i caught recently: jackass, rudy, hardball, bits and pieces of devil's advocate. we have been desensitized to sex and violence. it's the sole reason why tv and the big screen have become filled with tits and gore. why doesn't it stop? cuz it sells. and i buy. moms must be one of the greatest things on earth. a pillar of support. disciplinarian. care taker. all rolled into one. am i ever going to make something of myself? what is my definition of success? what makes me successful? what motivates me to get up every morning and live out the day? goals are dim. dreams are blurry. it's not so safe wandering a hazy path... you might find yourself walking down the wrong track.

[things i want] i figure this should be something fun to write about. a mattress. a nice apartment with painted walls. a mini cooper S. 2 pugs. large comfy rug. new mp3 or mp3 cd player. Logitech's THX Z560 4.1 speakers. new dash with crazy visualization for the ML. new cell phone. laptop (next topic at hand). a stylish 17' lcd for my computer.

[laptops] are toys for big boys. in the past, i would never trade in my desktop for one of those heavy pieces of junk. i suppose times have changed and laptops have become quite a tool of productivity. what would i use it for? movie watching. word processing. imaging with photoshop. music databasing. slide presentations for marketing and kicks. surfing the web. although this would completely nullify the purpose of going to the library (elimination of all possible distractions), a laptop is a must for those LONG days at haas. yea. you know wut days i'm talking about.

signing off for now. here's to reading and productivity.

[Quick Update] It's nearing 4 in the morning... Why am I bloggin you may ask? Well in layman's terms, I don't want to disappoint my audience. In marketing terms, I'm delighting my customers! Sadly, there is no profit to be made (Note: Donations Welcome). In any case, this is just something I jot down on my palm while I was waiting for a fade:

In bioethics, we learned the fundametnal tools for ethical dilemmas. One of these concepts was the time-tested golden rule. Prominent in codified laws, historical documents, and even the bible, the underlying implication in the old "Do onto others as you would want others to do onto you" is to give and receive equally. I however choose to disagree. Often times in life, equality and fairness doesn't alway prevail. At least for me, life is not meant to be lived on a give as much as you take basis. Can it ever hurt to just give more? I guess this is pretty applicable when it comes to relationships. I've once told a good friend of mine not to keep tabs on favors because my friendship is not conditional. What we fail to see is that the act of giving is a gift in itself. It is what makes us great friends, great lovers, great people.

[What is life] but a collection of fleeting moments... a few that we would rather forget and those we never want to let go. Live. Live fully. Live Contently. Live Well.

[Lazy] Sometimes it's so hard to get off my ass and start my day. It was a long week so I decided to reward myself with an extra hour of sleep. But at the end of the hour, it became near impossible to crawl out of bed. It had already extended its tentacles.... arms bound and feet shackled. The more I tried to open my eyes, the more it tightened its grip with every reason to give up the fight.

[Training Day] The minute is upon me. It's time to turn it all around. More study. Less sleeping. Less procrastination. Less surfing the web for sports news. Less daydreaming. More action. More positivie thoughts. More motivation. More direction. Mo' girls, mo' money, mo' problems.

[Hi.] I probably shouldn't be blogging right now 'cause I'm currently engaged in a staring contest with my fat bioE hw assignment.. and the obvious victor ain't me. Just wanted to jot a couple of things down before they slip my mind. Without further ado...

[Inspiration] Glad to see that this project has yield fruits of positive influence and ideas. Stanley "the manly" Lee is now a new member to the blogging grind. Sometimes I forget that people read what I write. Kinda odd cuz I'm constantly checking blogs on a daily basis. You know what... this isn't going to work. I am physically and mentally too tired for reflection. This entry is just going to have to sip a beer and chill. G'nite.
